Thai Iced Tea
Thai Iced Tea
An all natural take on a classic street-food staple.
Refresh yourself with our house Thai Iced Tea blend — a favorite summertime sweet treat! We use strong Sri Lankan black tea, creamy vanilla, and a touch of cardamom to create our own version of this street-food staple.
Full bodied and creamy, with a hint of warming spice, this Thai Iced Tea is perfect over ice with honey and your choice of milk.
Insider secret: We sometimes ask our customers to vote with their taste buds. We perfected the Thai Iced Tea recipe at the Hood River farmer’s market, sampling our final contenders and tallying which version our friends, neighbors, and Hood River visitors liked best. This is the one!
When is it best?
...on a hot summer afternoon, chatting with friends in the backyard.
...to cool your tongue when you’re eating spicy curry.
...when made into delicious ice cream.
...for a midday refresher during a day at the beach.
Treat yourself!

STEEPING NOTES:
We love serving it at the farmer’s market. Can’t join us there? Here’s the recipe that we serve:
Thai Iced Tea Recipe
Use 1 Tbs tea leaf per 8 oz of water.
Bring water to a boil on the stove.
Add tea leaf, simmer 3 minutes.
Remove from heat, steep for 30 minutes.
Strain tea leaves, add your favorite sweetener.
Hint: we love 1 Tbs honey/8 oz tea — this is about 1/3 the amount of sugar that is traditionally used, but it's still quite sweet! Add it while the tea is still warm and stir until dissolved.Chill tea.
Add your favorite milk when serving (we love whole milk or coconut milk).
Serve over ice and enjoy!
