Pine- fired, smoked black tea. An absolutely wicked flavor. Known as Lapsang Souchong, this tea is finished over a smoldering pinewood fire, imparting a rich smoke flavor that is unmistakable. The first time I smelled this tea I was instantly transported back to Summer camping trips at Lake Wenatchee with my Grandpa George. Thick forests of pine trees cover the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains of Washington State and was our wood of choice for campfires and marshmallow sticks. For some of us in the Pacific Northwest, the smell of pine is a comforting nostalgia, just like the flavor of our top-quality Lapsang Souchong offering. Normally this grade of tea is reserved for domestic consumption in China and not for export. We are honored to hold it in our black tea line, a true treasure. Contains no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or ingredients. This organic tea is ethically sourced, economically sustainable, small batch and artisan crafted.
